Join The Buzz Garden Party as part of Oxfam’s ‘Eat Local Feed Global’ campaign, celebrating World Food Day (October 16th) and raising funds for and awareness of local food production around the globe.
There are lots of ways you can be part of The Buzz Garden Party, whether you’re coming along in person or not.
- Donate to The Buzz ‘Eat Local feed Global’ Garden Party fundraiser, with all money raised going towards Oxfam Australia’s work on local food production. We’re aiming for $1000, which, if 100 people donate just $10, shouldn’t be too much to ask.
- Come to The Buzz Garden Party: If you’re local, or semi-local, consider yourself invited to 135 Shaftesbury Parade, Thornbury on Sunday 13th October, from 2pm until 5pm. This is a great opportunity to check out the garden that is featured on The Buzz, meet other like-minded folk, swap gardening and cooking tips and contribute to a good cause.
- Bring a plate of food to share, made from locally grown or sourced produce. Or bring along some homegrown vegies, herbs, fruit or seedlings to swap or give away. Coffee and tea will be provided, along with other homegrown and homemade treats.
- Entertainment: Other than the festive banter and good food, there’ll be live music and DJs. We’re asking for a minimum gold coin donation at the door, with all funds raised going to Oxfam Australia. Please let us know how many are coming and what you might be bringing via The Buzz Garden Party event page on Facebook or via email.
